EDM/EDI Service
FERC Order 587 has moved the Internet and EDI technology into the forefront of the natural gas industry. But the complexity, capital costs and man-hours required to implement these new technologies has created many new issues and challenges, especially for small and medium-size pipelines and storage operators.
Recognizing these challenges, Latitude Technologies, a Texas-based company focused on technology solutions for the natural gas industry, has created a complete EDM/EDI Service that provides reliable and cost-effective compliance with Order 587.
Latitude provides a compliant EDI "Designated Site" on the Internet, including HTTP server, EDI file translation and PGP file security. The Designated Site receives GISB-compliant files from shippers (e.g. nominations, capacity release requests) and delivers GISB-compliant files to shippers (e.g. scheduled quantities, invoices).
Latitude's EDM/EDI Service features:- Cost-effectiveness - Latitude designs and maintains all EDI functionality for a fraction of what it costs to build and maintain services "in-house."
- Compliance - Latitude's EDI Service meets all aspects of Order 587-I and GISB standards.
- Security - Latitude employs secure, GISB-standard PGP Security
- Reliable Support - Latitude provides 24-hour support, redundant systems and uninterruptible power supplies.
